Welcome! You have come to the right place: whether you are visiting us for a brief time, looking for a new parish home, returning to the Catholic faith, curious to learn more about the Catholic Church, or wanting to help out in - or learn more about - our Ministries. Our two parishes, St. Agnes and St. Athanasius, are located 16 miles north of Boston, in the Town of Reading with a population of approximately 25,000 residents.
Mark your calendars for the Reading Catholic Community’s Outdoor Mass and Picnic on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at St. Athanasius Church. We come together as One Body In Christ - to Worship and share fellowship!
Deacon Neil shares the poignant story of a proud 92 year old: moving into a nursing home, widowed, blind - and yet happy. May this story help us remember and acknowledge God's blessings.
Recent conversations have been around what merging means: merging our two parishes into one new parish with a new name and with two worship sites, St. Agnes Church and St. Athanasius Church.
A merger is a way for the Reading Catholic community to gently and purposefully move from the past to an exciting new life filled with hope and promise.
