First Holy Communion Song:
Revelation Song, Gateway Worship
Print out lyrics
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Holy, holy is He
Sing a new song to Him who sits on
Heaven's mercy seat
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Holy, holy is He
Sing a new song to Him who sits on
Heaven's mercy seat
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty
Who was and is and is to come
With all creation I sing praise to the King of kings
You are my everything and I will adore You
Clothed in rainbows of living color
Flashes of lightning rolls of thunder
Blessing and honor strength and glory and power be
To You the only one who's King
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty
Who was and is and is to come
With all creation I sing praise to the King of kings
You are my everything and I will adore You
Filled with wonder awestruck wonder
At the mention of Your name
Jesus Your name is power, breath and living water
Such a marvelous mystery
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty
Who was and is and is to come
With all creation I sing praise to the King of kings
You are my everything and I will adore You
I will adore You

1/25/2022 - On January 8th we held the First Reconciliation Service for students receiving First Communion this Spring.
If your child was unable to attend the Reconciliation Service, please make arrangements for your child to come to Confession on any Saturday before First Communion, at 2:45PM at St. Athanasius. This is the regular Confession schedule.
Please call the Collaborative Office to let us know when your child will be going so that we can be sure to let Clergy know of this special occasion. 781-944-0490
One of the most powerful ways we impart our Faith to our children is through living by example and as active participants in their Faith formation. It is our hope and prayer that you are talking about and encouraging preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation in addition to the weekly Religious Education classes. We invite you to work with your child on a routine basis over the Christmas holiday break so that they will be well prepared for their First Penance.
Thursday, March 24, 2022 - 7:00 PM at St. Agnes Parish Center

A: Please review Reconciliation materials handed out at class. If you have questions, please reach out with an email to PColpitts@ReadingCatholic.org

Q: Do families attend?
A: We invite families to join in for celebrating this Sacrament. Other family members may also choose to have their confession heard at the end of the Service, once all the children are done.
God Bless, Paula
Each service lasts about one hour, with the children receiving a small token to remember their special day after they make their confession.
This is a short service with a Reading, Reflection, Examination of Conscience, with the children reciting an Act of Contrition together before they make their individual confessions. There is a printed program for them to read the Act of Contrition from. Everything is simple and low key..
Individual confessions are out in the open. Confessors are situated in corners of the Sanctuary (the area around the Altar) and Church so priests can hear children's confessions while maintaining some privacy.
Children will be escorted to one of the confessors. The length of the Service will depend on when your child makes their confession, some will do this before others as we escort each child one at a time to a confessor.
